Kathmandu is a city of contrasts, yo have heard that before. It’s also a city where everything is mixed: Nepalese, and Chinese and Indian; cocktail bars, tour operators and laundry services. Its streets are filled with traffic, all kinds of traffic: motorbikes, tricycles, tuktuks, bicycles, rickshaws, taxis, buses… and among them, those who walk.
And they are all always moving, up and down the road, left to right, participating in that whirlwind that is life. And after a few hours there, once you have stopped fearing for your life on the road and are actually capable of enjoying it, you start catching some eyes, making that human connection that helps you stop in a moment and breathe, oblivious to the apparent chaos around you.
